For MixMaster Caesar, growing up in the beautiful Caribbean twin nation of Trinidad and Tobago, it was impossible not to know – from a very young age – that music is life. With influences ranging from 70’s Disco, Funk and Ska to Motown, as well as Classic R&B and of course, Calypso and Soca, he knows how to intuitively bring a varied and nuanced groove to any setting. Currently based out of Toronto, his road to DJ’ing began in an unconventional way. He started out in personal finance and transitioned into education and community development. Through the dedication and discipline inspired by his career path, he decided to hone his natural skills at DJ School. With hundreds of gigs under his belt, he has catered to intimate crowds and smaller venues and rocked packed stadiums like the Rogers Centre. He has extensive event planning experience and has coordinated large scale events for the Heart and Stroke foundation and street festivals for the City of Toronto. He was the official DJ for the Doing Numbers European tour, which took him and six fellow Canadian artists all over Europe – from New Skool Rules in Rotterdam to Midem in Cannes. MixMaster Caesar is an Urban DJ playing open format. He has an uncanny ability to mix genres and he merges various musical and cultural influences, interpreting them in innovative and intriguing ways.  It is not an easy feat to bring Country and Ska together, but during a set, he makes it work – and it’s seamless. After all, music is his life.
